Ford's most popular 4x4 pickup in Australia is the Ranger. The previous generation Ranger comes in three versions: the PX1, PX2 and PX3. The PX1 was introduced in 2011, the PX2 in 2014 and the PX3 in 2018. All three models have been very well received by customers, as they set benchmarks in terms of towing and comfort. In addition to the standard vehicles, Ford also offers a ranger wagon called the Everest that is built with a rugged body-on-frame construction and has similar features to the four-wheel drive versions of the truck. The Everest was introduced in 2015 and has been a popular option since then.
The Next-Gen Ranger is the latest generation of Ford Rangers, which was released late 2021. It is available in a number of variants and will be available as both a six-cylinder petrol and both a four and six-cylinder diesel model. The body has been redesigned to give it a more modern look and there are a host of new features available on the vehicle as well. Models in this range begin with the XL & XLS, followed by XLT & Sport, then Wildtrak & Platinum and topped by the Raptor.
